Successful application to become DSRC (SCIO)

On 4th March 2026, the Scottish Charity Regulator OSCR approved our application to become a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO), with charity number SC055019. This followed an extended period of consideration by club members and the committee, and a majority vote to apply for SCIO status at the last AGM. The club's charitable purposes, as described in our new Constitution, are:

"The aims and objectives of the organisation are to provide sailing, rowing and other water-based activities and recreational facilities to improve the physical health and mental wellbeing of the people of Dundee and the surrounding area."

The committee (Trustees) will now complete the process of transferring the club's assets and updating our name and information as required. It is hoped that SCIO status will open up new opportunities for the club. All help with realising this potential will be greatly appreciated.
