Tay Road Bridge Anniversary
A skiff, two Wayfarers and the safety boat enjoyed some lively conditions to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the opening of the Tay Road Bridge on 18th August 1966. The newly constructed bridge, one of the longest road bridges in Europe, replaced the Fifie ferries that transported passengers and vehicles between Dundee and Newport-on-Tay. The Tay Bridge website has some memories its opening day. Having the opportunity to row and sail under the bridge is one of the many benefits of joining DSRC! Thanks to David and Linda for the photos and video.
